Real Techniques at iHerb.com

I am a big fan of Real Techniques makeup brushes AND the great prices at iHerb.com.

I just wanted to share with all my readers the 20% extra off all Real Technique until DEC 4th 10am Pacific Time.

Don't forget to use my discount code  TUW872 to get up to $10 off your first order.

iHerb sell internationally and their shipping rates are very competitive.

I just ordered the following Sam's Picks Exclusive Brush Sets x 2 and Miracle Complexion Sponge x 2 and it only cost me $8 in shipping all the way to Australia.

I thought I would quickly show you what I ordered, these are gifts for family at Christmas as I already own all these brushes but I love the new set of 6 brushes that are available with some of my favourite brushes included in this set. Also the Complexion Sponges are fantastic and just as good if not better than Beauty Blender but a LOT cheaper.

I love this set of brushes the only brush I would like to have seen in there is the Blush Brush but it is available and on special too until Wednesday, along with ALL the Real Techniques Brushes and you can find them here.

Sam's Picks Exclusive Brush Set RRP$45 - iHerb $29.99 - 20% extra discount $23.99

Included in this set is:  Multi-Task Brush - Buffing Brush - Essential Crease Brush - Setting Brush - Pointed Foundation Brush - Fine Liner Brush

Miracle Complexion Sponge iHerb RRP$5.99 - 20% extra discount $4.79

Even with the drop in the Aussie dollar the prices are still a fraction of what you would pay for the same products in Australia. So if you looking for a great set of starter brushes for yourself or a unique gift for a special friend I think you couldn't do better than this.

PS All prices are in US dollars, iHerb converts at checkout.

Everyday Nude makeup

I thought I would share with you some of the nude everyday makeup I wear to work.  I wear a minimal amount of makeup because I am outside but I still want that healthy glow.

matillysthisnthat.blogspot.com.au

I don't have a lot of time in the morning as I am up at 4.30am most days, I really don't want to be applying lots of makeup in the wee hours but I still want to look good!

Olay CC Cream - Total Effects Tone Correcting Moisturiser with Sunscreen. - Light /Medium.  This is a sheer tinted moisturiser that claims to fight the 7 signs of ageing.   Gives me just enough colour to even out my skintone, moisturises, protects and adds a healthy glow.

Bourjois Paris Healthy Balance compact powder - Vanilla.  A very finely milled finishing powder, enriched with asian fruit extracts.  This powder is so nice, sets your foundation without collecting in your pores or drying your skin, no cakiness at all.  You hardly feel like you have this on but it removes any shine around your forehead, nose and chin.   Has a lovely fruity aroma I really like this one, great for touch ups during the day.

Maybelline Color Tattoo - Bad to the Bronze.  Gorgeous eyeshadow that you can wear all over your eye area, just apply heavier to the lid and then blend out.  Lasts all day with no creasing.

These are the three brushes I have been carrying around in my little pink bunny here, they all do a terrific job, the Real Techniques brush is excellent for blending out the Color Tattoo eye shadow.

(l-r):   Real Techniques - deluxe crease brush ~  Wotnot eyeshadow brush ~  MUA - F4 powder brush.

MUA Pro's Every Lash Waterproof mascara - Black.  This is my favourite mascara from the MUA range, it separates all my lashes beautifully with a minimum of fuss.  This mascara actually performs as described, the first coat lengthens and the second coat adds volume.  No clumping, no panda eyes and no flaking.

REVLON JUST BITTEN KISSABLE BALM - Precious.  These are my favourite chubby crayon lip balms.  They have a moisturising stay-put formula, the colour is buildable the more you apply.

Precious starts out Nude on the lips but becomes pinker the more you apply.  Even when the gloss has worn off there is still a blush of pink stain on your lips.

OK so that's one of my day looks and some of the products I have been loving at the moment.  What do you like to wear during the day and what are some of your favourites?  Please comment below I would love to hear from you.

Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Brush Review

I recently purchased two sets of Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Brushes from iHerb.  You can find them by clicking on the links.  The Base/Flawless Core Collection and  Your Eyes/Enhanced Starter Set.

I had heard good things about these brushes through blogs and reviews but wasn't that interested in purchasing as they are so expensive in Australia and I already have a massive brush collection.

When I saw them on iHerb for $17.99 each   I couldn't believe the price difference and thought I would give them a go.

The Base/Flawless Core Collection RRP in Australia is $44.99 - RRP iHerb is $17.99.

Your Eyes/Enhanced Starter Set RRP in Australia is $39.99 - RRP iHerb is $17.99.

The first thing I liked when I received this brushes was the sturdy case which doubles up as a stand just by flipping the wallet over and pulling on the toggle.

Professional looking brushes, aluminium colour coded handles in bronze (face) and purple (eyes).

The taklon brushes are soft but what I really like is that they are workable because of the dense bristles.  There is nothing worse than weak wishy-washy brushes.

Every single brush in these two collections is useable.  The only thing I would add in the base collection is a larger foundation brush, this one is too small for all over application.

In the face collection I would add a smaller base eye shadow brush and crease brush.  I found the ones in the kit to be too big and fluffy, GREAT for all over eye shadow application not so good for defined separate colours.

I really like these brushes, usually in collections you will find one or two brushes you will reach for every time but I have found that I pretty much use all of these brushes when applying my makeup.  Good brushes don't have to cost the earth and I would compare these brushes favourably with more expensive brands that I own.

There are individual brushes available too if you only want a couple of brushes but the collections are very good value and a great introduction.

You can find out more about Real Techiniques by Samantha Chapman brushes and makeup tutorials here.

For an even bigger discount for first time customers at iHerb apply code TUW872 at checkout for an extra $5-$10 off your order.
