ModelCo SHINE Ultra Lip Gloss ~ Striptease ~ RRP18.00, I have already received this in another subscription box (same shade) and to be honest I can't even remember what it was like or what I have done with it. I don't think I am too impressed with this brand.
Aphelia Peony 9+5 Advance Beautifying Eye Creme ~ sample size ~ RRP$69 15ml. Always excited to receive eye creams and I thought that this was a full-sized product until I opened it and there was only a tiny amount in the bottom of the jar. I don't know if this is how much product we were suppose to receive, so if anyone else has opened theirs can you let me know? I look forward to trying this but wish the sample had been bigger to get a better idea of what this is like and what it can do for my eye area.
Catalina Geo ~ Long and Deep Mascara (Plus Refill) ~ Black ~ RRP$31.50. Wow I mean Wow, not only did I find a gorgeous looking mascara in the box but a refill as well! This is the product I am most excited by, look forward to reviewing this for you all.

Adorn Cosmetics ~ Eye Create Intensive Shadow Shade ~ Golden Quartz & Eye Create Matte Shadow ~ Coral Pearl ~ 2 samples ~ RRP$15 1.5g. I really like the Coral Pearl, it is a pearlised pinky, peachy light golden shade with a little gold glitter, I don't know what the matte has to do with the description because it is anything but matte. The Golden Quartz is a gorgeous smokey brown shade with more glitter, it does tend to buff out though. Both of these shades are from Adorn's normal eye shadow range, so I am a little disappointed I didn't receive what was on the card, I would have liked to have tried the matte shadow.

This box is definitely worth $22.95 ! I am really impressed with the f/s mascara AND refill! I have never heard of the brand so I'm really excited to see your review ^_^ .
ReplyDeleteHmm I wasn't too impressed when I first opened this box. Mainly because I don't really care for the ModelCo lipgloss as this will be my third time receiving the exact same shade in a subscription box (I know right, three times?!) and I'm also the pale type who won't be using the tanning product.

Awww Jasmine I'm sorry your not happy with your box :o( I know what you mean about the lipgloss. I was really unhappy with last months box so I think I'm happy this one wasn't quite as dismal for me.

My Violet Box was just delivered. I'm not sure if everyone receives the same products but mine were the same as yours. I'm quite happy with mine although I have a million lip glosses but this colour looks lovely. I'm hoping it's not thick and sticky as some I've tried in the past. I haven't used any sort of tanning products for over a year as I think I'm a bit too old for them now and have at long last embraced the pale look! lol My eye cream sample pot was just over half way full. I'm most excited about the mascara and am impressed that it comes with a refill. Out of Lust Have it, BellaBox and Violet Box, I have to say that Violet Box trumped them all this month!

I love how many items they sent you and the decent sizes. Subscription boxes and I may be parting ways for now - the ones here are pathetic and I've lost two international boxes in the postal system this month alone :(

The June one is certainly a goner and they keep saying no updates with tracking. The July one wasn't worth it, having seen the spoilers - who would pay that much for brown lipliner, black eyeliner and yellow nail polish? Meanwhile the quest for a decent international subscription continues :(

Renu, I was just thinking I know why you didn't receive your box from LipFactory, it contained nail polish and it is illegal to post polish now by airmail because of flammability safety issues. I haven't received three of my international orders since this law came in. If customs find nail polish they just bin the whole order and don't let you know. This might be what happened to you.

Jac, you're absolutely spot on - they always have nail polish in the box and every order I've lost before has also contained a bottle or two. I've been reading our rules on postal imports and yes, they've very strict (and not when it suits them). Incidentally, the seller country's shipping dept can also prevent the item from being shipped out if they scan and see something suspicious. I've asked Lip Factory to cancel my subscription. TBH I could probably get a tonne of Bourjois or something for $32, or a nice haul off Feelunique - I'm sure there are other boxes out there which will start shipping worldwide soon. Please don't feel bad! It was my fault for not looking up the rules and jumping the gun, and the July box isn't something I would want. I hope they refund me for the lost box xx

After I really opened the box and went through everything *properly* I decided I am really pleased haha! I think it was just the lipgloss that made me think otherwise! Glad I changed my mind! :)

I wouldn't be thrilled with the Model Co lipgloss.. I bought a pack of 3 {including that shade} for like $10 at Chemist Warehouse.. they're not totally bad, but I hate the little stringy bit that comes out when you pull the doe foot out :D heheh

Nah I don't think ModelCo is a luxe as they like to make out, you get them on the front of magazines for nothing. The loose minerals are gorgeous, I have tried them before in another subscription, I can't wear loose minerals make my eyes itch like crazy!!

Yeah for me it was the self tanner because I don't use the stuff but taking it as a whole there was a really good variety in that box.
