Hydra-Oil Review

Recently I purchased these three Hydra-Oil products and I thought I would share some information and my thoughts with you all about them.

matillysthisnthat.blogspot.com.au

Hydra-Oil is like the brand Bio oil which you may be aware of.  I used Bio oil during my pregnancies to keep my skin supple and lessen stretch marks (you can use Hydra-Oil for that too).  You can purchase this oil in a bottle but I find it more convenient in the aerosol cans because you get a measured amount to apply on your skin, no risk of oil spillage especially when you knock the bottle all over the carpet (I'm looking the other way now, huh-huh guilty), absolutely everywhere!

This is what Hydra-Oil have to say about their products;

Hydra-Oil has several ingredients which work tremendously well in helping individuals to literally ‘get their skin back!’ Hydra-Oil has one essential ingredient called Tri Nano Oil which acts as a non-greasy emollient and helps with increased skin absorption.
Hydra-Oil is made up of a combination of essential oils which helps to tone your skin and remove the dryness to keep you skin smooth and hydrated. Hydra-Oil is rich in vitamins which help fight signs of ageing and improves the health and quality of skin.
Hydra-Oil should be applied topically after bathing, showering, sunning or swimming. Hydra-Oil should be massaged into the skin where the condition resides. It is suggested that for best results, that Hydra-Oil be used twice daily (preferably, morning and evening) for at least 3 months. Depending on the severity of the skin condition.
Hydra-Oil is specially formulated to help diminish the appearance of scars and other skin discolorations such as spots and stretch marks. Hydra-Oil also aids in evening out skin tone and nourishing mature and dehydrated skin. This formulation contains antioxidants and essential oils suspended in an oil base. Due to the oxygen-free properties of oil the essential oils and vitamins maintain their effectiveness.

You can learn more about Hydra-Oil here.

There are three cans to choose from in different sizes but these were the only size available at my Coles.

1.  Tissue Oil Spray 130ml RRP$16.95 ~ This is the same formula as the original oil, helps even out skin tone, soften scars, diminish stretch marks and nourish mature and dehydrated skin.

2.  Anti-Aging Tissue Oil Spray 130ml RRP$17.95 ~ Hydromide blend (sterol based soy oil), helps to repair the skin's natural barrier function to allow for increased moisture content, boosting elasticity and suppleness, therefore minimising wrinkles.

3.  Replenishing Body Cream 150ml RRP$21.95 ~ Intensive moisture formula, which contains Tri Nano Oil,  an active blend that allows for the essential extracts and natural ingredients to be more readily aborbed into the skin.

Pros ~ All three come in an aerosol can, more convenient and less mess
              Suitable for all skin types
              Ideal for face and body
Contains essential oils of lavender, calendula, chamomile  and rosemary
Argan oil and anti-oxidant fighting Vitamin E
One quick spray goes a long way
              Non-greasy
              Absorbs quickly
Super moisturising, leaves your skin super soft
              Mild pleasant aroma

Cons ~   Very strong smell when first applied, I'm talking "Pepe Le Pew"  strong,
it's just the volatile essential oils and it dies off pretty quickly to leave a mild
                aroma
The base oil is Mineral and that could be a problem for some

I will be repurchasing the Anti-Aging Oil and the Replenishing Body Cream as these are most suitable for my needs.  My favourite was the body cream, left my skin feeling very soft and supple.  I have very dry skin that itches at times and this cream stopped all that.

I love love love the aerosol cans. makes it so much easier to pack without fear of spillage and the measured spray makes it more economical.  Great for local travel and the gym.  I am big fan of using oils to moisturise and I am suitably impressed with this brand.

If you are interested in purchasing these moisturisers they are available exclusively from Coles Supermarkets.
