Lust Have It October 2012

I received my LHI October box today.  I must say I opened it with much trepidation as there has been so much negative feedback on LHI's FB page.

I was pleasantly surprised however.  I received the Bold and Beautiful Lust Haves.

CARON WAXAWAY READY TO USE SENSITIVE WAX STRIPS, sample, RRP from $9.95 - These strips can be used for face or body and can be cut to size, good for travelling.  OK, I have never used wax strips and after seeing the reaction of Steve Carell from the movie '40 Year old Virgin' (the scene where they wax his chest and back, that was real!!)  I don't intend to start trying, NOT that I have a hairy back mind you.  I have very little hair and what I have is fair.

KOSMEA SKIN CLINIC CERTIFIED ORGANIC ROSE HIP OIL, 3ml sample, RRP $12.95 10ml - A multi-vitamin oil for your skin, helps to reduce skin damage and restore skin health.  Yay have been wanting to try this.

DELORENZO INSTANT REJUVEN8 TREATMENT, full-size 200g, RRP $24.95 - A deep hair treatment that seals hair cuticles and softens. This is a treatment for colour treated hair.

BEAUTY SNAPZ, full-size, RRP $9.95 pack 24 - Overnight Lip Revitalizer, they look like cotton tips.  As someone who always has dry lips, this is a great idea.

STAR & ROSE WHITE BATH FIZZER, full-size, RRP $4.95 -  this is a bath bomb, not sure what the fragrance is but my boys love these!!

There was also three discount cards included, I love discount cards.

ADORN MINERAL COSMETICS - $15 Gift Card

KOSMEA AUSTRALIA -$10 Gift Card

HARVEST BOX - 50% discount of your first box.  This is a healthy snack company and they deliver straight to your work.

Overall I am very pleased with what I received all but the wax strips are useful.

I know many of LHI customers are very unhappy this month,  I have read LHI's replies and I know that they are taking on all feedback and hopefully they will be back on track for November.

I only have one gripe:   YOU HAVE TO GET THESE BOXES DELIVERED EARLIER IN THE MONTH.

Lust Have It Pink Ribbon Mystery Hamper Review

I recently purchased the Lust Have It Pink Ribbon Mystery Hamper.

Everything came in this beautiful reusable box all wrapped up in pink gauze.  My initial reaction was "Wow!!"

This is my first look in the box.

 This is what I received:

Baby Foot exfoliating socks x 8
LonVitalite 24K Gold Eye Mask x 8
Tigi Bed Head Glaze Haze Hair Serum 60ml x 8
Avene Eye make up remover 25ml x 8
Dermalogica Multivitamin power recovery masque 15ml x 8
Pure Fiji nourishing exotic oil Orange Blossom 20ml x 8
Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL volume 200ml x 3
Lancome Juicy Tubes 7ml x 2
Show Face eyeshadow x 1
Show Face blusher x 1
Lancome Renergie Morpholift Nuit 50ml x 1

Firstly I am very happy to be helping such a worthy cause.

I certainly think you are getting value for money with this hamper and I will enjoy giving these samples away.

The Baby Foot, Dermalogica and LonVitalite eye masks were a real surprise to find in the box.

I would have liked a card describing what I had received like you do in the monthly boxes.

There was not enough variety, it gets a bit repetitious, I don't think you need 8 eye make up removers or hair serum.  As we all have different needs more variety would have been interesting for my guests.

I was also disappointed that if this was for 6-8 people why I only received two glosses in the same shade and two shadows.  Also compared to the 2-4 people hamper I didn't receive anything extra in make-up even though I paid twice the price, I would have been better off purchasing two small hampers to receive twice the make-up, Batiste and Renergie.

My idea was to have a mini spa night.  I would have liked to have seen facial cleansers, moisturiser, eye cream, nail care and certainly some more makeup.

Very disappointed in the two shadows I received, Dirty Brown and Bobo the Clown Red, totally unusable.  These compacts weren't even labelled, I have no idea if the red is suppose to be blush or eyeshadow.

Overall I am very happy with the value for money but I think LHI could have put some more thought into the hampers and added more variety and not so many repeats of the same product.

bellabox October 2012

This month's theme is "Pretty in Pink Party"

This month is is bellabox's first anniversay and they are donating $1 from every box to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

This month I received the following;

ESTEE LAUDER RESILIENCE LIFT INSTANT ACTION LIFT TREATMENT 5ml sample, RRP $100 30ml - Instantly lifts and firms your skin wherever and whenever you need it, you can even apply it over makeup.  Claims to boost collagen production and elastin retention in the skin.

CLINIQUE TURNAROUND CONCENTRATE EXTRA RADIANCE RENEWER 7ml sample, RRP $74 30ml - Exfoliating serum without irritating your skin.  Claims to create a luminous from within radiance.

SALLY HANSEN INSTA-DRI FAST DRY NAIL COLOUR, full-size sample, RRP $13.95 9.17ml - I received the shade 260 Sonic Bloom.  It is a really bright coral red matte shade.

DKNY FRESH BLOSSOM EAU SO INTENSE, perfume sample, RRP $135 100ml - Delicate florals, citrus and a crisp apple blossom accord combine for a feminine and sensual scent.

CEDEL BLOW DRY FASTER HEAT PROTECTOR, full-size sample, RRP $9.99 165ml - 2-in-1 formula reduces blow drying time whilst protecting each strand from abrasive heat.  Infused with silk and wheat protein, leaves hair soft, frizz-free and super shiny.

UPDATE:  I used this today after I washed my hair.  The first ingredient in this spray is Alcohol and I think that is what makes the water disperse so your hair drys quicker.  It also includes Dimethicone, Panthenol, Wheat Protein and Silk and they should be good for your hair.  I don't normally blow dry because it is too damaging for my fine hair but I tried it on my fringe and it does indeed dry faster.  I also noticed that the rest of my hair that I didn't blow dry also naturally dried faster than normal, so it works without blow drying too.  I didn't notice that it was any shinier than normal and did nothing for my frizzy locks, so that's a bit disappointing.

E.L.F BRIGHTENING EYE COLOUR, full-size sample, RRP $3.99 - Eye shadow quad 'Hazy Hazel', nice collection of shades for Hazel eyes I think.

CHOCOLATIER PINK HEART CHOCOLATE - Nice!!

Good variety of products but nothing that really interests me, I feel really flat with this month's box.  Good value yes, just nothing I would want to go out and buy.  It isn't really matching my profile.  I don't use nail polish, I don't like floral perfumes and I don't blow dry my hair.  Most importantly of all I refuse to use Estee Lauder products because they test on animals.
