This is just a quick review of what I received and my thoughts.
LE TAN - Wash Off - Tanning Spray. Yawn......Another useless bottle of spray tan I have no intention of using.
Inika - Vegan Lip Whip - Berry - moisturising lip gloss with very very sheer tint (looks better in the tube). No staying power or colour payoff.
Femme Fatale - mineral eye shadow - Masquerade - I must have received the most non-existant colour in their whole range, sorry can't photograph this one. This creates a Duo-Chrome Mother of Pearl Sheen with no colour payoff, probably best applied over another deeper shade in your collection.
Paula's Choice - Blotting Papers - Huh?? I have very very dry skin, what is there to blot?
Klorane Shampoo with Nettle - this sample is for oily hair. I have very very dry hair. Please LHI at least do some basic profiling on your members so they receive samples specific to their needs.
Paula's Choice - Perfectly Natural Cleansing Gel - for sensitive skin and baby skin too.
Again another month where LHI promise so much and deliver so little. The $5 price rise has never equated into bigger better boxes as they promised.
To say I am counting down the months to when my subscription ends is an understatement.

Looks pretty meh! I was rapt that I got the Smitten Mousse Foundation until I tried it and found that it's too dark for me. Another Instant tan - I have so many and rarely use the stuff so this didn't excite me. I received shampoo and conditioner for dry and damaged hair but my hair is thin and fine. I'll give it a go anyway. My Inika eye shadow is a very pale mauve colour. Lovely colour but very washed out looking. I rarely use oil blotting papers these days but they may come in handy on a really hot humid day. I don't think I'll renew my subscription when it finishes either. I think I'd prefer to get the quarterly ECO boxes only from now on!
ReplyDeleteI didn't go look at everyone else's reviews this month because I find the box depressing enough on it's own without comparing it to others. I am so over LHI it's not funny. I wish they would give out useable colours. Jac x0x
ReplyDelete:( I'm sorry you're not happy with your box! It's very different from the other boxes I've seen this month. If it makes you feel any better, at least that makes yours unique!
ReplyDeleteMy sister received this today (I'm not subscribed because I haven't ever really loved any of the boxes they've had) and she liked it but I wasn't particularly excited about anything in the box. I think out of all the Australians ones Lust Have It is really hyped but isn't as great as some of the others I see out there.
ReplyDeleteThe colour issue is one of the biggest problems in all the beauty boxes, I think. It's very hard to know how well a product looks or lasts on you or if it's at all suitable for your skin type if the colour is totally unsuitable to even bother applying. I mean, who wants to walk around in public with foundation three shades too dark and yellow or bright green eye shadow just to test drive a product? I've had some weird colours in some of my boxes over the past 15 months that I wouldn't be seen in, even for Halloween! I guess they have to make do with the products they receive and trying to please everyone all the time is impossible with so many age groups, skin types and colour ranges. I try to keep that in mind every time I see another box with products that are useless to me... I just go "Eek, you've got to be kidding me!" lol
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of getting lip gloss, nail wraps and blotting paper in boxes as well - they scream "spacefillers" to me. Bummer about the shampoo! Why can't they just go through your personal profile once before they send out the box?
ReplyDeleteMy Beauty Junction
LHI's excuse is they don't profile but that is not true when I joined they had basic profiling and you at least received skin and hair products relevant to your needs. The message they are sending to me is we're too big now and the individual doesn't matter. I emailed and complained about mismatched items and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. Does that sound like good customer service to you?
ReplyDeleteLust Have It got too big too quickly took on too many other box varieties and lost their focus on the customer. It will be to their detriment in the end because customers will walk away. They forget the little guy these days.
ReplyDeleteLeah I love your positive outlook, big hugs xx
ReplyDeleteI agree LHI can only work with the products they are given, it just seems the companies use beauty boxes to dump all their rubbish they can't sell. Horrible colours, short shelf life, unpopular stock..............
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you're not satisfied! This is the first box that was a bit different to my October one. I thought they would step up their game a bit when they introduced the $5 increase. I agree with you on the profiling!
ReplyDeleteYou're probably right as it's starting to look a bit that way...
ReplyDeleteOi! Just popping back in cause I tagged you!! hehe, if you've got not much to blog about and some spare time.. :) http://polishpatterns.blogspot.com.au/2013/10/beauty-blogger-tag.html
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about this box! It's always so frustrating when services like this are so disappointing. Maybe give the rest of your subscription to family/friend for christmas? I know I definitely won't be getting one. Better luck next time :)

Thanks Debra :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Loz xx
ReplyDeleteHi Jac!! Haven't seen you pop up in my feeds lately hopefully you'll be back posting soon :) I gave my tanning product to a friend, but quite liked the rest of the content - i think LHI should look into client profiling, their boxes so far have been suited to my needs but it's a bit of a hit or miss!
