AVEDA INVATI ~ Exfoliating Shampoo & Thickening Conditioner ~ 10ml samples
RACHEL K ~ Mineral Colour Control CC Cream ~ sachet samples. These were actually missing so I have emailed LHI and I hope that they will replace them.
GOSH COSMETICS ~ Mono Eye Shadow ~ full -size ~ Dark Green. This was broken, so I have emailed LHI about that too. I gave Mum the Aubergine I received as I had already received the same shade the previous month.
NUDE BY NATURE ~ Nude Papaw Ointment ~ full-size 75g jar. I love this ointment, all natural, smells great, wonderful for dry skin. Whacking great big jar of it, Mum is so lucky.
AWE COSMECEUTICALS ~ Nirvaata Calming Serum ~ sample. Anti-inflammatory which nurtures the skin's barrier to alleviate skin sensitivity.
PINK TIGER ~ Duri Cosmetics Nail Tools; Pedi Paddle ~ full-size, RRP$20. Mum was really excited to see this as she has dry feet and the paddle makes it easier for her to bend down and smooth her rough heels.

Mum's box was much better value than the one I received, I really don't think this is fair of LHI considering I paid the same amount for both boxes. She received 7 items compared to my 5, her products samples were LUXE while my only LUXE item was the Molton Brown. I received a $1 nail file and cotton swabs she received a really cool Pedi Paddle $20, my face product was cheap John Plunkett while she received samples of AWE, RACHEL K and AVEDA and a generous sized tub of NUDE BY NATURE. Side by side the boxes really don't compare and even my Mum commented on the difference though I couldn't convince her to swap lol....
This is NOT a VIP exclusive box as I have spoken to another VIP member who received the same box I received here. There were no VIP boxes this month.
I don't think I will compare the boxes again, it might get very depressing. Mum when you read this, I am so pleased you loved your LHI Box and WELCOME to our family we are so happy you are living with us now!
I got the same box, except I had a nail file instead of pedi paddle. No product card so I didn't know what (if anything) was missing. No CC samples. I was actually a bit disappointed, 'cause I got the same eyeshadow as I got last month, and bodywash just makes me go "meh". Maybe I'm ungrateful...I don't know...but I actually wanted to unsubscribe when I opened this box.
ReplyDeleteIt annoys me that they 'sneak peek' products that not everyone actually gets, which I think just makes people dissatisfied. And they don't seem to bother to respond to negative feedback on their Facebook page.
I'm only a recent subscriber to them, but they haven't wowed me. I'm a long time subscriber of Bellabox, but they seem to have lost the plot. Maybe I'll give Violet Box a go...or maybe I'll give all these boxes the flick and just use my money to buy one lovely product (like maybe some Stila or Paul and Joe) of my choice per month.

Hi Drewzel, was the CC sachets on your card? If so you should email LHI they will send them out once they get the stock back from the warehouse, they are pretty good like that.
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same as you, why do I bother, save my money, the boxes make me unhappy. I keep hanging in there for something that makes me go wow this is worth it, the day I unsubscribe is the day it will be a Wow box.
I have subscribed to Violet Box, they have promised more luxe and full-sized products but we shall see.
I really like BB, haven't had too many issues and I love their shop and the fact you get a heap of extra samples when you purchase.

So sweet of you to get your mum a LHI box! It is a little depressing comparing boxes. Some months I get a dud box and just try to convince myself that I will use everything in the box or at least give it a go! I still feel LHI boxes are a little better than BB. Some of boxes from BB in the past few months really made me regret signing up annually.

DeleteI don't know Lily, I feel BB do everything just that little bit better. I tell myself it must be hard to get samples from companies but they are in business and they are paid to provide a service.
We will see what next month brings.

try changing your age to 30 yrs+ i found that being "older" you get much more especially in the way of full sized products. :/ i find it very odd that although its suppose to be completely random ever since i changed my age i ve been much happier with my box.
ReplyDeleteHya, my age is already over 30 so I don't think that makes much difference to what you receive. I believe it is the luck of the draw, some are just luckier than others. Thanks for the suggestion though.
