All I will say is I can't wait for my subscription to end in May.  I have been unhappy with LHI for a while now and feel like a captive audience, they have my money for twelve months and can basically send me crap and that is what they have been doing.

$20 a month for teeny tiny unmatched samples which don't suit my profile and are only good for the rubbish. LHI never came good on their promise with the price rise to give bigger better luxe samples.

Now we don't even get a box just a tiny plastic parcel bag of bubble wrap.  My husband took one look and said " That is so unprofessional, what the hell are you paying for?  Very cheap and nasty."

KLARA Kiss Proof Lips - sample size - Hot Pink - I can't wear this crap, do they EVER send out normal useable shades?

Bloom Secret Weapon Conealer Kit - medium/dark - sigh..... another mismatched item, I am FAIR, really FAIR.  Doesn't matter I don't wear concealer anyway.

ORLY Nail Polish - Cosmic Kiss - sample - everyone else received some really pretty shades, I got glitter!!

AVEDA Intensive Hydrating Masque - teeny tiny sample of useless - there is not enough product in this tube to try anything!  I have said it before and I will say it again, if a company can't be bothered to hand out generous useable samples, I won't bother purchasing their products.  Aveda samples are not worth the tubes they come in.

Gatineau - Refreshing Melting Scrub - sample - another exfoliator

Recoverlyte Powder - I think this is a drink you are suppose to make up after a hard night out.  If LHI need to add these to their pathetic little selections maybe they should lay off the booze and put more energy into spending my money and giving me something useful and interesting each month.

Total rip-off and the boxes are just getting worse.

Lip Factory March 2014

I recently re-subscribed to Lip Factory a beauty box from the US.  You can find my past reviews here.  This month is "It's all about the Lips" so every product in the box is for your lips.

I received 5 products and honestly I'm more than a little disappointed.  I have been seeing some great box reviews the past few months which is why I re-subscribed but this month's offering leaves me really flat. Nothing really exciting stands out and my biggest disappointment is I received Mirenesse, now while there is nothing wrong with Mirenesse, I already have a ton of the stuff and mostly free from the front of magazines. All the products are cheap budget items and certainly not worth the US$32.  If next month's offering doesn't jump out the box at me I will be un-subscribing again.

Mirenesse Lip Bomb $34.90 - #13 - pale pink - I had to laugh when I saw this, subscribing to an international beauty box to receive an Aussie product.

Ellovi Lip Butter $5 - this is a clear moisturising lip balm, that you can eat apparently, I wouldn't though you would probably end up with the runs.  Contains Coconut, Sunflower, Hemp, Macadamia, Marula and Shea.

Jesse's Girl Vitamin E Treatment $3 - another clear lip balm.  One too many lip treatments in this box.

Cargo Cosmetics Lip Quad $24 - South Beach - absolutely no colour pay off in these four glosses.   By the looks of the packaging (think reduced bin) and smell of the gloss this is really old stock that has gone rancid. Not happy with this at all.

Jesse's Girl Lip Liner $1.99 - Naked - more like a berry shade.

Can't say I would recommend Lip Factory to anyone this month, such a shame they have been so good in the past.

MODELCO  Party Proof Cream Lipstick - Truffle - RRP$16.95 - Super long lasting pigmented lipstick. Yay!! I actually received a gorgeous Berry shade that I can use.  I really like this lipstick, nice and creamy, non-sticky and doesn't dry your lips out in fact it's quite moisturising.  It is long lasting, I have been sitting here with it on while I write this review and the colour hasn't budged or faded.

Australian Bush Flower Intensive Eye Serum - 15ml sample - Made with Australian Bush Flower Essences, gentle yet intensive organic eye cream.  This is an Australian made version of Bach Flowers except they are made with Aussie plants.

PHYTOMER Expert Youth Correction Cream - this is just a teeny tiny sample of moisturiser, not worth the packaging and certainly not enough product to make an educated decision to spend $113 on a full-size jar.

WOW Bath Gel - Mandarin and Lime - sample -  Gorgeous scent, I love citrus body products and I am already in love with the aroma of this gel.

PANTENE Aqua Light Shampoo and Conditioner - Not impressed by these samples, they are for fine hair and I have really thick dry long hair.  I hate receiving hair samples.

Natrulus Paw Paw Pure Gel - Sachet - I think this stuff works like Aloe Vera by soothing damaged skin.

So that's it for another month, can't say that I am overly excited by the contents.  I am not a fan of ModelCo but I do like their lipsticks and it was a nice bonus to receive a use-able shade for once.

I stupidly went and looked at all the box items available for this month on the BB site and it always leaves me feeling flat because there are so many more interesting LUXE samples that I NEVER receive sigh................

Very generous sized samples and two full-sized products, I am very happy with the contents of this box and look forward to trying everything.  For $23 (US Dollars) this was well worth it.

Korean Beauty Box

This is the Korean Beauty Set I purchased for $19.90 - contains 10 samples of popular Korean Beauty Products.  I found the samples to be bigger than what I received in the Japanese Beauty Bag which was all sachet samples, the Korean samples contained a couple of face masks and travel-sized samples.

Missha -  Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Essential Moisturiser - I don't know about this one, little bit reluctant to put anything with the word SNAIL in the ingredients on my skin, does anyone know how they collect the Snail Slime?  The sample tube is only half full so I think there is about 2ml in there.

Innisfree - eco science skin - 5ml sample - I am not too sure what this is, it's a liquid so I am guessing it is toner or serum?  It doesn't actually say in English unfortunately.  If anyone can help me with this please do.

Etude House - Xylitol Forest Face Mask - I'm not really sure what this mask is suppose to do, it is described as keeping your skin clean, cool and moist.  I guess that means it cleans and hydrates.

Missha - 3D Essence Milk & Honey Sheet Mask - another mask that hydrates.

I know all these brands, I am a big fan of Korean beauty products so really happy to receive these samples. I would have liked the boxed sets to count as one sample and a cosmetic item would have been nice. Everything is pretty much relevant to my beauty needs which is great considering it is pot luck and I was a bit worried I might receive products not suitable to my skin type.

Japanese Beauty Sample Starter Kit - $11.90 - comes with a really cute drawstring Koi Bag and 8 popular Japanese beauty samples.  Each bag comes with varying samples and this is what I received.

SK-II Facial Treatment Repair C - 2ml sample - Intensely hydrating and highly concentrated skin serum packed with moisturisers.  Regular use greatly refines skin texture and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Sofina beaute - sachet - milky cleanser - gentle daily foam cleanser

Shiseido Fullmake Washable Base - sachet - I had to look up the description for this one on the Shiseido website.  The next-generation makeup base helps create a flawless cosmetic finish while allowing makeup to 
be washed off without using a makeup remover. After basic skincare steps, apply this makeup base 
before applying makeup. When it is time to remove your makeup, just scrub your face with warm 
water and the makeup, along with the makeup base beneath, will detach from the skin and glide off 
smoothly.  Huh........A primer that acts like teflon, I like it!!

Cosme Decorte AQ Powder Foundation 301 - sample compact - comes with two sachets of what I think is a primer for the foundation powder, powder foundation and a sponge.

Cure Natural Aqua Gel - sachet - water based exfoliant made from natural plant extracts of aloe vera, gingko and rosemary.  Effectively sloughs of dead skin cells without irritating or harming skin, making it suitable for even the most sensitive skin types.  This has some very good reviews and you can find out more here.

Alblanc Transclear White Makeup Base - sachet -Japanese makeup base described as a medicating whitening lotion.

Shu Uemura - sachet - Skin Purifier - Anti/Oxi - Skin Refining Anti-Dullness Cleansing Oil - helps remove pollutants that dull the skin.

Dr Ci Labo - sachet - VC100 Pore White Lotion -I am not quite sure what this lotion is for but you can find out more here if you are interested.  I thought it was for white skin but it is more for shrinking pores and tightening skin.

I was really excited to receive these samples, there were a couple I recognised like the Shu Uemura and the SK-II but the others were a complete mystery which added to the fun of opening this bag.  I really would have liked a card describing each sample as some have no english on them but it didn't take me long to look up the products on the net and work out what each sample was.  I thought this was good value for $11.90 aussie dollars and I think I will go back and get another once I have tried these samples.  Just about everything is available full-size on the Yesstyle website.
